When files are "deleted," they are NOT truly gone; there is a magnetic or electrostatic latency resonance on the binary switches of the storage media, be it hard-drive, flash media, zip drive, data tape, etc. That means that though your operating system interface may not be able to detect the file, the data still exists on the hardware at a physical level.

One piece of software I've had relatively good success with at recovering deleted data is IOLO's Search and Recover. It is available online and at local retailers, such as Staples and Bestbuy, and ranges between $20 and $50, depending upon sales and specials. If your file hasn't been entirely corrupted, which is EXTREMELY unlikely after a week, S&R is probably your best bet for recovering it intact.

OpenOffice.org by default reads and saves in various open document formats.

But it will also read most Microsoft Office formats.

And you can save a document in Microsoft Office format by using “Save As…” in the “File” menu. A dialog box will come up, in which you can select the type of file in which you wish to save, usually the most modern Microsoft file available.

So you already have an application which can convert OpenOffice.org documents to Microsoft Word documents, namely OpenOffice.org itself.

A user of Microsoft Office can also download and install the Sun ODF Plug-in from http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Sun-ODF-Plugin-for-Microsoft-Office/1172507346/1 which allows Microsoft Office to both read and write in OpenOffice.org formats.

Of course, occasionally files will not convert exactly. So you might also download and install the free Microsoft Office readers from http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/downloads/HA010449811033.aspx so you can assure yourself that if there are any differences in files you have converted to Microsoft Office files, the differences don’t matter.

I’ve been using OpenOffice.org both a home and at work since OpenOffice.org 1.1 and haven’t yet encountered any difference I couldn’t work around.

I don’t believe there is anywhere where you can legally obtain a free copy of Microsoft Office or Microsoft Word. But you don’t need it.

You can't. Browsers are specifically designed to prevent this (it's called cross-site scripting). The only workaround is to make your web page talk to your own server, which then gets the text from the other domain. E.g.

    mydomain.com/pageCopier.html <->
    mydomain.com/proxy?url= http://www.pageIWantToCopy.com <->
    http://www.pageIWnatToCopy.com

This requires a server side script, such as PHP, Perl, ASP, etc.

Hi, you can do the following,

Go to Edit –> Preferences –> Interface –> change the color back to Gray for the Full Screen option.

    Hope this helps :D

How many headings are working? Six? Four? Twenty-seven? You should do a bit of experimenting to find out if this is something about the way you built the document or something faulty in Word. Here's how to proceed:

Create a new document. Type a bunch of trash. Copy-paste for a while to make enough pages that it will be in the range of the fault. Make a bunch of headings, but DO NOT make them by changing the font sizes or making the text bold. Instead, apply heading styles to each heading (go to the Format menu, slide down to "Style…" and scroll through the list to choose a heading style).

When you create "headings" by simply changing the font size or making the text bold, you are leaving it up to the document map to make some kind of educated guess as to what is and what is not a heading. Instead, apply heading styles directly to that text. That will "mark" them so that the document map knows instantly that they are headings.

Very funny Mr. Shylock. Go and blow some US buildings Mr. Mossad and take some US money. Do some tricks in Wall Street and keep saying ” you are anti semitic” We are waiting all the jews to come to Israel so we won’t have to strike elsewhere. just tell your fellow jews to go to “Israel” so we won’t have to search for them somewhere else. One bomb and we are done. That will be hilarious mmmwaaaaahahahaha

Instead of converting the file to pdf, simply make it rich format, or plain wordpad/txt file or HTML via MS office (word)

What do you mean 'secondary sponsor'? If it's your husband, the first person who submits affidavit of support wil be you. If your income is not sufficient enough for the requirements, you will need a joint sponsor.
Either way, you willhave to fill out I-864 form, and:
    - if your co-sponsor is someone living in your household, you can add his income to your income, than that person will need to fill out I-864A.
-if your joint sponsor is not in your household but your friend or relative, he will have to fill out the same for as you:I-864.
You can compare your income with the requirements on here:

A notary does not stamp the validity of a document, but rather acts as a witness to the signature. By signing your employment verification, your boss is saying that the information contained in that verification is true. The notary checks your boss' ID then watches your boss sign. This is done to verify that your boss signed it (rather than someone just forging a made up letter).

Because of this, you will need a new form, and the HR director will have to sign it in the presence of a notary. The notary cannot legally just call the HR director to verify, then stamp it. Hopefully someone at your job is a notary, otherwise you'll have to get a notary to go to the HR director's office, or the HR director will have to go to a store (usually places like Mailboxes, Etc) that has notary services and sign it at that store.

In Word 2007 you would go to the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon and select the orientation button and choose Landscape.

Word 2003 (and i'm not 100%) the orientation menu is either on the Format menu, or Page Setup.

    Hope this helps

Click on File > Save As > Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc).

Best of luck with your CV.

No, Word has no way to coordinate endnote numbering across documents.

    Sorry.

  19. craziixbeautiiful1

    What are you talking about?

Every home computer system at home today reads Unicode. Indeed they use Unicode at the base level. Most word processors today also use Unicode as their basic character set.

Now there is more than one type of Unicode coding. Unicode text might be in UTF-8 or in UTF-16 Big End or in UTF-16 Small End.

But you haven’t told us what kind of “document” you are looking at, a plain text document, an HTML document, a word processor document, or what. Where did you get this document from?

You can try to convert at http://rishida.net/scripts/uniview/conversion.php and see what you get.

When did i myself ever say i planned 9/11???? You are putting words in my mouth. I would actually like to live in Gaza, why dont you live in Gaza and live like them, being sealed off from medicine, food, for 2 years, and then bombarded and raped, then I shall see your opinion. I am not making numbers up, look at the history yourself, you dont look at yourself, and dont criticize yourself, its zionists always playing victims, when they are the real terrorists.

If you saved it, when you open Word the next time there is a history of documents that you have recently worked on — click on FILE and you'll see them in the FILE menu listed as 1, 2, 3, 4….

I'm sure that whatever you need the documentation of the hours for has their own documents that they would like you to fill out. If they do not you can have whoever is the head of the project/organization/company write a letter stating that you have completed those hours.
